COM 616 founder elected to PAWS With A Cause Board of Directors

COM 616 founder Adam Russo has been elected to the board of directors of Paws With A Cause®, a nonprofit organization that enhances the independence and quality of life for people with disabilities nationally through custom-trained Assistance Dogs.

 PAWS provides services in 30 states and has placed more than 2,500 Assistance Dogs across the country. In addition to its Assistance Dog program, PAWS works to increases awareness of the rights and roles of Assistance Dog Teams through education and advocacy.

Adam has been involved with PAWS in several capacities. He served PAWS as a foster puppy raiser in 2014 and 2015 and a member of PAWS’ Paws to Celebrate Host Committee in 2020. 

Adam is a lifelong learner who is deeply rooted in the West Michigan communications community. As the founder and owner of award-winning public relations firm COM 616, his professional experience includes working with global brands like Haworth and Amway, and regional companies like Varnum, Metro Health-University of Michigan and Comcast. 

He currently serves as an executive board member for the Literacy Center of West Michigan, the vice president of the board for Affinity Mentoring, an ambassador for the Grand Rapids Chamber and the director of public relations for the Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Festival.

In his spare time, Adam enjoys playing with his dog, training and competing in Ironman triathlons, and visiting and hiking national parks with his wife, Meghan. He is a three-time Grand Rapids Business Journal “40 Under 40” honoree and has served as an adjunct public relations professor at his alma mater Grand Valley State University.
