Alexis Stark, Copywriter

With experience in many different realms of writing, Alexis is a storyteller, determined to spark social change, one Oxford comma at a time. She graduated from the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities at Michigan State University, with a minor in LGBTQ & Gender Studies, where she self published a children's book and developed a love for reading and writing poetry, along a passion for social advocacy. Previously, Alexis wrote for The State News and the Ann Arbor News, focusing on stories about education, community and prison arts and poetry, before relocating to the Grand Rapids area. When she’s not writing or editing professionally, Alexis can be found at the zoo, the beach, hanging out with dogs, or sitting in a pile of books she owns, but could not possibly read in her lifetime.

Sarah Aldrich is an open-minded word person who loves learning new things and having new experiences. She brings a decade of experience as a writer, editor, marketer, and PR professional to the COM 616 team. She began working in the industry while studying Professional Writing at Michigan State University, interning for the university, Martha Stewart, and National Geographic.
